Good-Bye, Gourmet!

Sad news for foodies everywhere as it was announced the other day that Gourmet Magazine was closing down. Now that is a shame. Gourmet was the granddaddy of them all, the first food magazine in the USA. I did subscribe to it a couple of years and still enjoy thumbing through it every now and then. Of course, I do like my other favorites as well… La Cucina Italiana, Bon Appetit and Food and Wine. I rate them as highly in my reading list as other great periodicals such as Foreign Affairs, The Economist, Maxim, Guns and Ammo, Scientific American, Playboy, Easy Rider, Wired, etc. Wish they would at least keep the online version. -Mike
