Hi, everyone!
Here we go again...more writings from the banks of the
mighty Urinals.
A friend of mine, Joe Haydon, forwarded an interesting
article to me yesterday. It is an analysis of how the current Kosovo crisis is supposedly
going to reshape the geo-political landscape and shift the balance of world
power somewhat.
You can read it at http://www.stratfor.com/kosovo/crisis/
Although the article was presented well and raised several
interesting points, it still seemed to have been slightly propagandized. A lot
of the European shying away from NATO that it describes has been taking place
over the last several years and is not, as the article seemingly points out, a
direct result of the current and recent situations involving the use of NATO
forces.
I just don't get the same gloom and doom feeling that this
article seems to convey. But, you read it and judge for yourself.
As for the current crisis...well working where I do, I am
often asked...well, sometimes...well, my little brother asked me once what I
think of all this.
My thought is this:
Slobodan Milosovic is a name that can only sound cool if
said by Sean Connery.
Think about it. I'm right, aren't I?
Have a great day!
Mike
